🛡️ Player Safety & Code of Conduct
At So-Cal Bulls Football, safety is our priority—and character is our foundation. Every decision we make, from practice structure to coaching assignments, is driven by our core values:
Respect. Integrity. Service. Effort. Unity. Perseverance.
This page outlines how we protect our athletes physically, emotionally, and mentally—while holding everyone in our program to the highest standard of conduct.
🧠Player Safety Protocols
We take safety seriously—on and off the field.
We follow all USA Football guidelines and league protocols to ensure every athlete has the safest environment to grow and compete.
- Certified Coaches: All Bulls coaches are required to complete background checks and annual safety training, including Heads Up Football certification.
- Concussion Protocols: We follow a strict "when in doubt, sit them out" policy. Any athlete suspected of a head injury will be removed from play and evaluated per return-to-play guidelines.
- Hydration & Heat Safety: Water breaks are scheduled into every practice. We monitor temperatures closely and adjust activity levels when needed.
- Equipment Checks: All equipment is inspected regularly for safety and fit. Players must wear mouthguards, helmets, and pads at all times during contact.
🤝 Code of Conduct
We believe in developing athletes of character, not just talent. Every player, coach, and parent is expected to uphold our shared values at all times:
For Athletes:
- Show respect to coaches, teammates, referees, and opponents.
- Give full effort at every practice and game.
- Demonstrate integrity—do what’s right, even when no one is watching.
- Support your teammates. We win and lose as one.
- Handle adversity with perseverance—no quitting, no excuses.
- Take care of your body, your gear, and your responsibilities.
For Coaches:
- Lead by example. Your actions set the tone.
- Put player safety, development, and character first.
- Communicate clearly, teach consistently, and coach with purpose.
- Earn trust through service, patience, and respect.
For Parents:
- Cheer with class. Encourage effort over outcome.
- Trust the process—support the coaches and the program.
- Bring unity to the stands. We are one Bulls Family.
- Speak positively, address concerns respectfully, and lead by example.
🔄 Enforcement & Expectations
We reserve the right to take disciplinary action when safety or conduct standards are not met. This may include:
- Warnings
- Temporary suspension from games/practices
- Permanent removal from the team or program (in rare cases)
We believe every family, coach, and player represents our culture. We don’t just wear the Bulls name—we embody it.
